He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry McWane and Annie McWane (McGhee); his wife June McWane (Wallace); his daughter Melanie; his son-in-law David Grant of Maryville, Tennessee.; his grandsons, Jack and Andrew Grant; his sister-in-law Joann Porter (Ralph); his sibling's children, Carol Henderson, Penny Crabtree and Wally Porter (Kay); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jon Henderson (Becky), Samuel Porter (Susan), Aaron Porter (Lynnsey), Kaylee Keck (Tyler) and Rachel Crabtree; and also, Addison, Emily, Elearie, Ilah Porter and Kasen Keck.
