He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mark Morel, Sr. and Margaret Sutherland Morel; his brother Robert McNairy Morel; and his wife Patricia Weisiger Morel (Pat). He is survived by: his sister McNairy Dee Treece (John) of Houston, TX; his children, James Mark Morel III (Jackie Harper), Felix Mann Morel (Katie Pirtle), William Byron Morel of Fairhope, AL and Edith Morel Barksdale (Rick); and his grandchildren, Christopher Harper, Elizabeth, Mary Reed Morel, Hutchison, Mamie Morel, McNairy and Tommy Barksdale.
