He was predeceased by : his parents, Mack Wilbanks and Vella Wilbanks; and his siblings, Bobbie Jean Simpson (Bill) and Jerry Wayne Wilbanks. He is survived by : his wife Kittylu Cain Wilbanks; his children, Angie Davis (Brian) and James Benton Wilbanks; his grandchildren, Jordan Duncan (Lydia) and Lacey Duncan; his siblings, Johnny Mack Wilbanks (Treassa) and Nancy Holcomb (Gene); and his sister-in-law Gene Wilbanks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in his honor.
