We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2025, at the age of 92, Richard Lewie Wetmore of Columbia, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Richard Lewie may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewie Wetmore and Emma Wetmore; his son David Wetmore; and his siblings, Harold Wetmore and Eleanor Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Stang Wetmore; his children, Gerry Wetmore (Vicki) and Paula Craig (Joe); and his close friend Jeff Thompson (Carolyn). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
