He was predeceased by: his parents, Rueben Pruitt, Sr. and Mary Susie Sircy Pruitt; his great grandchild Grayson Allen Pruitt; and his siblings, Casper Thomas Pruitt, Earnest Savage Sr., J. T. Pruitt, Oscar Pruitt, Velma Hudgins and Mary Helen Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Anne Dalton Pruitt; his sons, Darrell Pruitt (Shirley), David Pruitt and Douglas Pruitt (Tammi); his grandchildren, Shelby Ferguson (Jon), Shauna Garrett (Steven), Paten Pruitt (Ashton), Lucas Pruitt (McKinsey) and Jesse Pruitt (Ryleigh); his great grandchildren, Nora Janelle Pruitt, Anderson "Andy" Garrett and Lucy Estelle Pruitt; his brother Jesse Eugene Pruitt; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Pierce and Margaret Louise Sparks (James). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
