She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Yates and Mary Frances Eller Yates; and her siblings, Margaret Carter, Bill Yates and Dow Yates.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Sliger; and her children, Dianne Wallace (Lynn), Mike Sliger (Teresa) and Danny Sliger (Mary Beth). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home (59 N Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Her contributions to the Friendship Sunday School Class, various committees, and her unwavering support in coordinating meals for bereaved families epitomized her dedication to service and compassion within her community.
