He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Tays Sr.; and his son Justin Tays. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Stafford Tays; his son Sam Tays (Beth) of Cookeville; his grandchildren, Ezra Timothy Tays, Anson Clarence Tays and Elizabeth Brown (Wyatt); his nephew Greg Hutson (Donna); and his close friend Thomas Yocum (Tyna).
