He was predeceased by : his parents, Ray James Duncan and Jessie Lee Deaver Duncan; his wife Lois Marie Cole Duncan; his grandchild Taylor Marie White; and his siblings, Mona Imogene Duncan Wiggins, Emma Kate Duncan Davis, Mary Ann Duncan Wagner, Robert Preston Duncan and James Ray Duncan, Jr..

He is survived by : his daughters, Sharon Payne (Sonny) of Copperhill and Elizabeth Rider (David) of Nelson, GA; his sister Merle Duncan Chapman (Hoyt); his grandchildren, Melissa Dilbeck (Chris), William David Rider, Sandra White (Stephen) and Brandy Jenkins; his great grandchildren, Scott Dilbeck, Cameron Dilbeck, Kimberly Dilbeck, Tyler White, Angelica Gordon, Tristin Dillard and Lorna Smith; his great great grandchildren, Braydon Curtis and Aleyah White; and his niece Donna Jean Wiggins-Dillard (Charlie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
