She is survived by: her husband J. M. Goodin; her children, Patricia Ann Goforth (Charles Allen Goforth) and Jimmy Cole Whitesides (Sharon Ann Ray); her grandchildren, Leslie Ann Goforth Brock (Brian Harvey Brock), Rebecca Leigh Goforth Gentry (William Rayburn Gentry) and Brian Cole Whitesides (Kelly Marie Paige); her great grandchildren, Charles Avery Brock, William Allen Gentry, Gavin Luke Gentry, Peyton Cole Whitesides, Ava Marie Whitesides and Tanner Lane Whitesides; and her siblings, Patrick Henry Cole (Janelle Hathcock Cole) and Patsy Mirenda Cole Turner (Tommy Alfred Turner).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
