He was predeceased by : his parents, Ollie Smith and Hazel Smith; and his sister Johnnie Lou "Lulu" Smith. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Smith; his sons, Walter Dale Smith (Melissa) of Ripley, Oliver Smith (Camille) of Covington, Terry Smith (Kress) of Memphis and Tony Smith (Kelly) of Illinois; his siblings, Pashing Pruitt (Leroy) of Ripley, Mirley Ann Pruitt (James) of Covington, Betty Mae Waldron of Byhalia, MS and Tommy Ed Smith of Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Kody Smith, Terri Smith, Olivia Smith, Luke Smith, Abe Smith, Lydia Joy Smith, Gracie Smith, Ruthie Smith and Ella Smith.
