He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Fray, and Marion Gerome Fray, Sr.; and his siblings, Arthur, Paul Fray, Mary Meredith, Joan Stitt and Ann Tucker.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Fray (Dawley); his children, Carol Crutchley (David), Jerry Fray (Margot), Jon Fray (Kristie) and Jeff Fray (Gail); and his siblings, George Fray, Nancy Threet and Emily Atkins. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bilbrey Funeral Home & Cremation Service (76 E Adams St, Crossville, TN 38555). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 4:45 PM at the Central Baptist Church (1346 S Main St, Crossville, TN 38555).
