It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin L. Axford of Crossville, Tennessee, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on June 22, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian; his parents, William Axford and Helen Axford; and his brothers, Charles and William Axford Jr. (Dorothy Gipson).
He is survived by: his children, Carol Campanalie (Richard Cook) of North Olmsted, Laverne Witherspoon (Mike) of Bristol, TX and Clifford Axford (Karen) of Crossville, TN. He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Tuesday July 1, 2020 at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, Due to COVID 19 pandemic, social distancing and face covering will be required.
Memorials contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
