She was predeceased by : her parents, Usaburo Shimada and Shizu Shimada of Japan; and her husband Pascal French. She is survived by : her children, Teresa Hamilton, Carla French and Bobby French; her grandchildren, Riley Hamilton and Maggie Hamilton; and her siblings, Namie Ishihara and Ken Shimada.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Cumberland County.
