He was predeceased by : his parents, Riley Hembree and Callie McCord Hembree; and his siblings, Harrison, Clyde, Gayther, Herschel, Harvey Hembree, Nellie and Birdie.

He is survived by : his wife Elsie Hembree of Cumberland Furnace, TN; his daughter Colleen Hembree of Cumberland Furnace, TN; his granddaughter Madeline Dowdy of Cumberland Furnace, TN; and his nephews, Phil Hembree (Annette), Stevie Hembree and Gary Hembree.
