He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Blalock and Mary Hurst Lafollette. He is survived by: his wife Julia Blalock; his children, Justin Blalock, Christy Bochette (Jason), Eric Blalock (Tisha) and Dalton Blalock; his mother-in-law Betty Dalton; and his stepfather Winfred Lafollette. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other family members.
