He was predeceased by : his parents, John Lewis and Opal Marie Ramsey; his sister Vivian Ramsey; his sisters-in-law, Brenda Ramsey and Wilma Ramsey; and his nephew David Jack Rowland.

He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Ramsey; his siblings, D. C. Ramsey, John Dale Ramsey, Brenda Smith and Mary Margaret Ramsey; and his siblings-in-law, Billy Jack Rowland (Jo) and Mary Louise Batts (Ramon).
