He is survived by: his children, Eric Levar Cowen of Dickson, TN, Quintisha Antionette Cowen of Waverly, TN, Chander Tinika Laws of South Carolina and Shyenne Deonne Taylor of Dickson, TN; his siblings, James Turner of Erin, TN and Freida Cowen Clay of Mississippi; his grandchildren, Christopher Cowen, Danny Tidwell, Lexi Hicks Kyleigh Cowen, Eric Cowen, Jr., Neaveh Cowen, Amirah Branden and Gabrielle Cowen; his great grandchild Damonta McKissack, Jr.; and his siblings' children, Ragan Clay and Ivory Marable.
