He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wells and Bessie Wells (Jenkins); and his sister Joyce Burns. He is survived by: his spouse Billie Jean Patterson Wells of Kingston Springs, TN; his children, James Wells, Jr. (Cindy), Carlos T. Wells (Jamie), Alan Kelly Wells (Crystal) of Nashville, TN and Melissa J. Cole (Marshall) of Greenville, SC; and his grandchildren, Spencer Cole, Preston Cole, Zackery Wells, Kelsey Wells, Brady Wells, Lora Beth Rayburn (Adam) and Whitley Wells. He is also survived by Many Nieces and Nephews.
