He was predeceased by : his parents, William Hardie and Daisy Hogue Adams; and his siblings, Harry Adams and Betty Bateman. He is survived by : his wife Edith Adams of Dickson, TN; his children, Susan Knight (Jerry) of Franklin, TN, Lori Davidson (Jonathan) of Brentwood, TN, Jeff Adams (Rhonda) of Dickson, TN and Michael Adams (Kelli) of Dickson, TN; his sister Anne Conatser of Hendersonville, TN; his grandchildren, William Knight (Haley), Harrison Knight, Justin Adams (Kimmee), Rusty Dotson (Kelsey), Riley Dotson (Ashleigh), Sam Adams, Jacob Adams (Caitlyn), Ben Adams, Shelbie Adams, Brookley Davidson and Landen Davidson; and his great grandchildren, Evy Adams, Brody Adams and Beckett Dotson.

In Lieu of Flowers the family wishes that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
