She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Neal and Mary Blanche Stewart Neal; her brother James Neal; and her in-law Eunice Shoemate. She is survived by: her children, Wayne Shoemate of Dunlap, TN, Mike Shoemate (Karan) of Dunlap, TN and Beth Sweatt (John) of Dunlap, TN; her grandchildren, Stacie Layne (Adam), Devin Moore (Chris), Justin Shoemate (Danielle), Jered Shoemate (Deborah), Houston Sweatt (Ann Marie) and Sydnie Cagle (Tyler); her great grandchildren, Jordan Wilson, Jayden Wilson, Jess Layne, Katelyn Moore, Cooper Moore, Baylee Shoemate, Ian Shoemate, Lanie Shoemate, Noah Shoemate, Bella Shoemate, Lily Shoemate, Zachary Shoemate, James Ward, Holton Sweatt, Marley Ann Sweatt and Hayden Cagle; her great great grandchildren, Knox Wilson and Adrián Wilson; her siblings, Ronnie Neal (Gwen), Carol Lamb, Cindy Ewton, Lynn Neal, Pelham Shoemate (Janice), Tommy Shoemate (Sue), Dan Thompson and Mary Boston; and her friends, Gwenn Lewis, Pat Cooley, Robin Morrison and Lorenza Newman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cross Baptist Church (444 Fredonia Rd, Dunlap, TN 37327).
