It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Winstead of Dyersburg, Tennessee, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rob Hawks and Effie Mae Johnson Hawks; her husband Billy Lee Winstead; and her great grandchild Willie Jay Winstead. She is survived by: her sons, Dennis Winstead (Shirley) of Dyersburg, TN and Bobby Winstead of Newbern, TN; her siblings, David Joe Hawks of Farmington, KY and Sarah Jones of Paris, TN; her grandchildren, Kim Sipes (Chad), Josh Winstead and Jeremy Winstead (Cameron); and her great grandchildren, Riley Sipes and Gavin Sipes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dyersburg Funeral Home (420 US-51, Dyersburg, TN 38024). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
