We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2024, at the age of 89, James C. Burgess of Dyersburg, Tennessee passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James C. Burgess to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Claire W. Burgess and Ruby Hall Burgess; his wife Mildred Harris Burgess; and his siblings, Huey Hall Burgess and Jayne Dare Burgess Galup.

He is survived by : his children, Michael C. Burgess (LoAnn) of Hendersonville and Deborah "Deb" Lowrance (Ray) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his sister-in-law Sandy Burgess of Cary; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Lowrance, Jarrod Lowrance, Ryan Lowrance, Audra Parham (Mark), Andrea McGraw (Rory) and Megan Hill (Joshua); his great grandchildren, Tori Thomas (Ronney), Ansley McGraw, Reese McGraw, Barrett Hill and Gunner Hill; and his great great grandchild Xavier Hollifield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
