She was predeceased by : her parents, Nemon French Privett and Stella Privett (Morphis); her husband A. W. Cook Jr.; her son Jamie Brown; and her sister Nina Davison.

She is survived by : her children, Lisa Abel of Newbern, TN and Allen Cook (Lorie) of Dyersburg, TN.. She is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
