Margaret Childs Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Childs of East Ridge, Tennessee, born in Columbiana, Alabama, who passed away on April 22, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, George B. Flournoy and Jessie M. Bazemore Flournoy; her husband Henry Turner Childs; and her brother Earl Flournoy. She is survived by : her children, Donna Ann Kitsmiller (Tom), Steven Henry Childs (Tami) of Kennesaw, GA and Robert Turner Childs of Tampa, FL; and her grandchildren, Caelie Rucker (Jeff), Bryan Childs, Adam Childs (Meredith), Emily Childs, Tommy Kitsmiller, Jr., Matthew Kitsmiller (Mary Kate) and Daniel Kitsmiller. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requested memorial contributions be made to Brainerd Baptist Church, 300 Brookfield Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37411.
