She was predeceased by: her father Isaac Clemons; her husband Walter L. Carrier; and her brother Floyd Clemons. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Hopland of Lenoir, NC, Candace McNabb (Ben) of Unicoi, TN and Kirk Carrier (Joy Henry) of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Jillian Darville, Jessica Barnett, Jared Hopland, Madelyn Bartlett, Lydia McNabb, Ryan Mick, Kayla Carrier and Luke Carrier; and her brothers, Wayne Clemons of Elizabethton and W. A. Clemons of Elizabethton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
