Hattie Avo Barnhart Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hattie Avo Barnhart in Enville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Perry Allen Faultner and Elizabeth Ann Howe; her husband Elbert Barnhart; her siblings, James Faultner, Maudie Granneman, Bessie Ginder, Dolly Holcomb and Stella Smith; and her daughter-in-law Tina Barnhart.

She is survived by : her siblings, Charlie Faultner, Rachel Cooper and Flora McWaters; her children, Lester Johnson (Toni), Jerri Gail Ortloff (Rick), Sandra Dee (Ron), Diana Jackson (Kurt) and Randy Johnson (Tawnya); and her stepsons, Rick Barnhart and Terry Barnhart. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a few great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Broadstreet Church of Christ.

“Dear Family, my heart is hurting. Aunt Hattie was a one-of-a-kind. She loved deeply and was loved deeply. She made everyone feel special and opened her home to many over the years. We will truly miss her. Her final destination is ultimately up to the final Judge, but I know she loved Him and shared Christ with others. Her light shown bright to those around her. To my cousins, I love you all. May our loving God, the God of all comfort, wrap you in His loving arms. Brenda (and Donny).”
