He is survived by : his wife Kay Adkins of Ethridge, TN; his daughter Kessler Thurston of Ethridge, TN; his sister Leslie Miller of Somerville, TN; his grandson Regas Thurston; his sisters-in-law, Clare Adkins of Eads, TN and Sherry Hamilton of Ethridge, TN; and his children, Mary Hamilton of Ethridge, TN and Adam Hamilton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
