She was predeceased by : her parents, Hoke D. Key and Rosa Lee Cochran Key; and her siblings, Freddie Key, Goldie Key, Willie Webb and Estelle McGowan.

She is survived by : her husband L. C. Newman; her daughters, Vickie Lee Hopper, Robin Marie Borts and Kristie "Krissy" Lynn Cox (Jimmy); her sisters, Dorothy Ann Hudgins (Ronald), Linda Sue Coleman, Julie Kish (Paul) and Loretta Stiles; and her grandchildren, Jaime Morgan, Aaron Ogle, Hannah Borts, Jesse Hopper and Joshua Mealer.
