He was predeceased by: his parents, Fleenor Stewart and Lena Duncan Stewart; and his son Levi Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Carol Spear Stewart; his children, Scott Stewart, Harmon Stewart (Debbie), Mary Stewart and Karen Queener (David); his stepdaughter Jana Rogers (Mac); his daughter-in-law Celina Stewart; his grandchildren, Daniel, Montana, Brandon, Alex, Knox, Elijah, Anna and Joseph; his brother Roy Stewart (LaVerne); and his brother-in-law Alan Spear (Marcy).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hayes School of Music Community Music School Fund at Appalachian State University to honor the memory of Ronald.
