It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Sue Cooper of Franklin, Tennessee, born in Hickman, Tennessee, who passed away on June 27, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Douglas Bates and Vada Mayberry Bates; her husband Alton Cooper; her children, Jimmy Cooper, Ricky Cooper and Janice Barnard; and her siblings, William Bates and Frances Plunkett.

She is survived by : her daughter Alma James (Bobby); her siblings, Elizabeth Dunn (Bobby) and Bobby Hugh Bates; her granddaughters, Rhonda Walls (Spence) and Jennifer Tanner; and her great grandchildren, Spencer and Mason Walls.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Cumberland Presbyterian Church or the Chapel Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
