She was predeceased by : her son Norman Thomas III; her mother Edna Simerly; her brothers, Jimmy Simerly and Jerry Simerly; and her grandparents, Ed and Nora Simerly.
She is survived by : her daughter Michelle Lawson; her grandson Jeff Lawson; and her siblings, JoAnn Waters (Marion), Charles Ray Mills and Charlene Shade. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
