We are sad to announce that on June 30, 2018 we had to say goodbye to Anthony Bates (Gainesboro, Tennessee), born in Smithville, Tennessee. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Lee and Juanita Johnson Bates; his son Matthew Bates; and his siblings, Wanda Kay Pack, Sheron Ann Whitworth, Sandra Bates, Ronald Wayne and Donald Lane Bates.
He is survived by: his wife Regina Bates of Gainesboro; his children, Jared Bates of Gainesboro, Jordan Hutson of Gainesboro and Jennifer Hawkins of Smithville; his grandchild Eli Judkins; and his siblings, Thelma Hawker, Martin Hawker, Janet Hawker and Kenny Bates (Maira) of Smithville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
