He was predeceased by: his parents, David E Desmond, Jr. and Frances Dyson Desmond; and his siblings, Timothy Desmond of Weymouth, MA, Denise Desmond Kimmett of Marshfield, MA and Jeanne Desmond Marks of Middlebore, MA..

He is survived by: his wife Laura Desmond; his daughter Rebecca Desmond of Texas; and his siblings, Linda Desmond Parnaby of Hingham, MA, Sheila Desmond Mancusi of Tewkesbury, MA, Debra Desmond of Whitman, MA, Maureen Desmond Hall of Kathleen, GA, Rhonda Desmond Chavez of San Antonio, TX and Leslie Desmond of Hanover, MA. He is also survived by 25 nieces and nephews as well as 16 great nieces and nephews.
