She was predeceased by : her parents, Clifford C. Sparks and Dora Sparks; her former life partner Charles P. Chilton, Jr. of Ann's Episcopal Church; and her brothers, Clifford Sparks, Philip Sparks, George Sparks and James Sparks.

She is survived by : her husband Al Menah Temple Shriner; and her children, Charles P. Chilton III (Karen), Karen Chilton Vanderboss (Charles), John Robert Chilton and Patricia Ann Chilton.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude's. A Gathering of Family and Friends for Edith will be on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 12:00 pm until 2:30 pm.
