He was predeceased by : his parents, James Robert and Beatrice O. Hickman (Ellis); his wife Betty Hickman (Reed); and his sister Francis Henzie. He is survived by : his son Darrin Hickman; his granddaughter Lona Bai Hickman; and his brother Joe Hickman (Linda). He is also survived by extended family and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM. A burial was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens (1150 Dickerson Pike, Goodlettsville, TN 37072).
