Kathleen Ann (Stum) Boyd Obituary

Kathleen Ann (Stum) Boyd, 62, of Goodlettsville, TN, passed away at home on Sunday,
December 2, 2023. Born April 3, 1961, in Lancaster County, PA, she was the daughter of the
late John E. and Margaret (Maloney) Stum.

Kathleen was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, teacher, and homemaker, serving her
family faithfully all the days of her life. Her love for the Lord Jesus was a blessing to all who
knew her.

She and James Emanuel "Cricket" Boyd, III, were married May 1, 1982, and had five children:
Misty Adams (Justin), James E. Boyd, IV (Alesa), Hannah Rochelle (Dustin), Elisabeth Fox
(Isaac), and Gideon Boyd. Nephew Ryan Wanner (Sara) and Dillon Harper were also as sons to
her. Recently, Kathleen was providentially reunited with her firstborn daughter, Dana Brackeen,
of Philadelphia, PA, after 42 years.

She and Cricket have so far welcomed nine grandchildren -- Charlie, Eloise, James, John, Ava,
Olivia, Levi, Hadassah, and Arivkah.

Kathleen is also survived by her brother, Michael Stum, his wife Jennifer, and their sons,
Michael, Taylor, and Jordan, of Holtwood, PA.

Burial will be Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville,
TN, at 3 PM.

A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Long Hollow
Church, Hendersonville, TN, from 9 AM-noon, with graveside service to follow.

“I've known Kathleen since we were 15 and although we had grown apart, we remained friends through my sister Kris. I have always admired her fortitude, her faithfulness, her love for her husband and children and especially for her love for the Lord. She was an inspiration to me and I'm sure to others. Her faith in her husband was apparent. Because of that, I believed her to be something truly special in this world. And I know that God has another angel by his side. He will use her well.”
