He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Mears and Estelle Mears; and his brothers, David Mears and Sammie Mears. He is survived by : his wife Sharon Mears of Graysville; his sons, Bobby Mears (Amy) of Apex, NC, Joseph Mears of Elgin and David Mears of Crystal Lake, Ill; his siblings, Doris White, Martha Ridge, Pauletta Nunley, Jackie Jackson, Betty Perkins (Jack), Jimmy Earl Mears (Kathy) and Albert Mears (Teresa); and his grandchildren, Elijah, Sara, Anthony, Tanner, Tara, Tegan, Taylor, Tessa, Brett, Jack and Tadd. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
