He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillie Margaret Blankenship Garland and Rev. James Garland. He is survived by: his brothers, Darrell, Keith Garland, Byron (Peggy Garland), Greg (Georgia Garland) and Dremma Garland; and his close friend Lucy Greer. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
