He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Mitchell and Nancy Mauk Mitchell; his brother Donnie Mitchell; his grandmothers, Agnes Mauk and Ida Mitchell; his brother-in-law Danny Laws; and his great-niece Caylen Bailey.
He is survived by: his sisters, Linda (Gary Compton) and Kay Laws; his siblings' children, Gary Compton II (Marcey), Chris Compton (Stacie), Holly Bailey (Nick), Danielle Rush (Jason) and Jennifer Hensley (Jason); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Collin, Noah, Addison Compton, Hannah, Kaylee Compton, Carley, Caroline Bailey, Hayden, Brock Rush, Daniel, Lexi Hensley, Betty, Ben, Ricky, Carl and Larry; and his close friend Harley Greene. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation.
