She was predeceased by: her husband Frank "Doyle" Melton; her son Carroll Melton; her parents, Shird Jennings and Nannie Belle Jennings; and her close friend Marcella Parham.
She is survived by: her son Neal; her daughters-in-law, Rhonda Melton of Knoxville and Christine Melton of Midway; her brother J. C. Jennings; and her close friends, Aline Feezell and Linda Seay. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; her church family.
