It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Katherine Barnwell-Bickford (Greeneville, Tennessee), who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Mary Katherine may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy A. Foulks and Ruth Irene Collins Phillips; her husbands, Joseph Lee Bickford and Robert Barnwell (Bob); and her brother-in-law Fred Birdwell.
She is survived by: her siblings, Learline Brown (Chester), Pauline Birdwell, David A. Foulks (Marlene) and Doyle Foulks (Wanda); her children, Shannon Barnwell, Joe Joe Bickford and Lisa Bracken; and her close friend Steven Holden. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
