She was predeceased by: her husband J. D. Swanger; her parents, Grover Ayers and Gladys Ayers; and her brothers, Ray Ayers and Jack Ayers.

She is survived by: her children, Vickie Rigney (Scott) and Mike Swanger (Jamie); and her siblings, Clarence "Jamup" Ayers (Margaret) and Nancy Chapman (Harold). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Dinner Ministry of First Baptist Church, 211 N. Main St., Greeneville, TN 37745.
