He was predeceased by: his wife Stella Sauls Hunter; his parents, Arnold Hunter and Lois Hunter; and his parents-in-law, Frank and Blanche Sauls.
He is survived by: his sons, Matthew (Hannah) and Ben Hunter (Tessa) of Greeneville; his grandchildren, Morgan, Noah Hunter of Rogersville, Ande Kate King and Harper Hunter (Jackson Owens) of Greeneville; his sister-in-law Mary Garland; his niece Rachael Cooper (Casey); and his friend Dr. Larry Trevathan (Joy) of O'Fallon, MO.
In lieu of flowers, etc. - memorial contributions may be made to the Walters State Community College Agriculture Scholarship Fund in Phil's name.
