He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Hubert C. Tarlton and Anna Kate Coleman Tarlton; his stepgrandson Joe King; his daughter-in-law Teresa Tarlton; and his siblings, Arville Tarlton, Gypsy Cutshaw, Carol Hurst and Johnnie Ruth Aldridge.
He is survived by: his wife Ada Warren Tarlton; his son Christopher Tarlton; his grandchildren, Joshua Robert Tarlton and Amanda Nichole Tarlton; his stepgrandson Wesley King; and his sisters-in-law, Ina Ruth Tarlton, Christine Warren, Jean Warren and Geneva Ellis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
