He was predeceased by : his parent Jesse Wayne; and his grandmother Kay Hicks Childs. He is survived by : his sister Mary Ruth Gober; his parents-in-law, G. P. and Lorene Luffman; his wife Betty Luffman Childs; his son Steve; his daughter-in-law Joanne Childs of Harriman; his daughters, Connie (Randy Massingill) and Gina (Eric Griffis); his grandchildren, Charity, Devan Angelo, Cameron, Kimmie Massingill, Blake Childs, Isiah Griffis, Logan, Chase Massingill, Nathan and Sam Ledford; his great grandchild Jaxon Thomas Massingill; his brothers, Jesse Wayne (Margaret Childs, Jr.) and Andy (Dena Childs); his grandchildren, Cody, Marilyn Donatelli, Nora Sue, Don Long, Carolyn, Tommy Howard, Dot Childs, Christy and Larry Milam; and his sons, Tim Hawn and Todd Wicks. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family, friends.
Eight grandchildren: Charity and Devan Angelo, Cameron and Kimmie Massingill, Blake Childs, Isiah Griffis, Logan and Chase Massingill, and Nathan and Sam Ledford.
