He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Lackey and Eunice Eckel Lackey; his daughter Carol Moon; his wife Lucy Lackey; and his siblings, Howard, Sis, Earl, Nell, Carl, Verna and Henry Neal.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Lackey-Gallatin (Kim Stewart) and Brent Lackey (Sharon); his stepson Patrick Link (Angela); his grandchildren, Stephen Moon (Karen), Hunter Lackey and Whitney Lackey; his great grandchildren, Toby Moon, Aaron Wright (Samantha), Eden Jones (Brandon) and Cody Holley; and his great great grandchild Harper Jones.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home (337 E McMurry Blvd, Hartsville, TN 37074). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Crestview Memory Gardens (1623 TN-109, Gallatin, TN 37066).
