He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Franklin and Kathleen Dodson Spickler. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Dever Spickler; his children, Joshua Spickler (Ginger) and Ginger Spickler; his grandchildren, Walter Franklin, Patrick Stephen Spickler and Macy Spain Elams; and his sister Margaret Ann Fleener. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd, Hendersonville, TN 37075). A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Beech Cemetery.
