He was predeceased by: his father Bobby Lee. He is survived by: his mother Azilee Johnson Tubbs; his wife Alice Haymer-Tubbs of Hohenwald, TN; his son Floyd Tubbs, Jr. of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Rahsaan, Dahsaana, Corvionne and Gabriel Tubbs; his great grandchild Kamryn Tubbs; his siblings, Lawrence Tubbs (Betty) of Jackson, TN, Lee Tubbs of Linden, TN, Bobby Tubbs (Carmen) of Dickson, TN, Agnes Jones (Luther) of Linden, TN and Marie Tubbs of Athens, AL; his siblings-in-law, Clyde Haymer (Diane) of Nashville, TN, Travis Haymer (Shautina) of Riverdale, GA, Anna Modena (Leonard) of Lyles, TN, Martha Vaughn (Barry) of Rex, GA and Billie O'Neal (Richard) of Riverdale, GA; and also Sherman Vaughn of Linden, TN.. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

On July 23rd, 2020, under the Caris Hospice at Maury Regional Hospital, after a bout with Covid-19 that complicated his frail state of dementia/Alzheimers, he peacefully closed his eyes and humbly exited his final tour of duty to his family, the Hohenwald Community, and to the United States Armed Forces.
