He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harlan Coop and Mary Louise Coop (Grammar); and his siblings, Thomas Coop, Harlan Coop and Charlotte Zimmerman.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Coop (Kilpatrick); and his sister Jean Zimmerman. He is also survived by several brother and sisters in laws and several nieces/nephews, great & great great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the McDonald Funeral Home, to help with burial expenses.
