She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Oliver Spain and Zela Holder Spain; her husband Calvin Thomas Martin; her daughter-in-law Judy Martin; and her siblings, Floye Holland, Williard Spain, Mitchell Spain, Ladoit Spain and Curtis Spain.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Volner (Danny) of Milan, Sandra Phillips (Jimmy) of Lavinia, James "Tommy" Martin (Linda) of McLemoresville and Gary Martin of McKenzie; her siblings, Carolyn Hollingsworth of Athens, Ruth Harris of Houston and Kenneth Spain of Nashville; and her grandchildren, Sally Thompson (J. R.), Manda Martin, Seth Martin (Kim), Adam Naylor (Rachel), Mark Naylor (Kami), Kelly Martin (Brent), Kayla Martin, Mitchell Martin and Cody Martin. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
